What Are Our Traditions?

Since 1997, CHS Alumni from past classes have carried banners as the current seniors celebrate their graduation. Old grads and new love to experience one of our proudest Little Hawk Traditions!

Scholarships for Graduating Seniors

Every year the Alumni Association awards Scholarships to three graduating seniors. Funds are raised and donated by CHS alumni.

City High Hall of Fame

Past City Grads and Current Staff are honored each year with a dinner and presentation the week of Homecoming.

Each year one former Little Hawk is also chosen as the prestigious Jim Sangster Alumni of the Year!

Supporting Class Reunions

Planning a get-together with your Class? The Alumni Association can help to organize a tour of the school or use of the Alumni Box at Bates Field.

Homecoming Parade & Alumni Band

Calling All Little Hawk Marching Band Alumni! Dust off your instrument and play with us at the Homecoming Parade. Sheet music is available.

All grads are welcome to ride or walk with us and carry your Class Banner!

Maintaining our Alumni Community and keeping them Informed

The CHAA is a connector, allowing alumni to keep in touch with their alma mater and with each other. We strive to keep Alumni informed through our CHS Monthly Update. Our info comes directly from longtime CHS Principal John Bacon.

We also maintain a database of alumni with almost 20,000 entries as of 2024. The CHAA is sustained by almost 1,300 Lifetime Members. Please consider joining our ranks today!

Supporting and Raising Funds for CHS Projects

We give assistance to projects that update and modernize our beautiful campus. Over the years this has included the Tower Restoration, the Opstad Auditorium Restoration, Stand Up for City High, and the Stronger Together Wellness Center project.
